Carbon footprint of our products

When compared to the standard product which contains OPC rather than GGBFS, The CO₂ emissions generated by the production of Holcim Supercrete HS and Holcim Green SL demonstrates saving of 274kg CO₂ per m³ concrete used, a 47% savings. It equals to carbon sequestration of 7 trees planted for 10 years in urban setting, or 242 m² pine forest for a year.

The CO₂ emissions generated by the production of Holcim Green FA per m³ is lower than normal concrete with an emissions saving of 116kg CO₂ per m³ concrete used, 19% savings or equivalent to carbon sequestration of 3 trees planted for 10 years in urban setting, or 105 m² pine forest for a year.

These emissions savings are contributed by the differentiation of raw materials, transportation and blending site activities.
