High quality concrete for structural use
Holcim Singapore strives for the best to uphold the excellence in our concrete production and supply. In order to comply with the new requirements by Building and Construction Authority's (BCA), we have recently been certified by the Singapore Accreditation Council(SAC) on a new standards relating to the production of structural concrete, SS EN206-1 about Concrete - Specification, Performance, Production and Conformity, its complementary standards SS 544 about Concrete - Method of Specifying andGuidance for the Specifier and SAC CT 06:2010 - SAC Criteria for Ready-MixedConcrete Producers. The certification is to ensure that good quality concrete for building and civil engineering structures.
Legitimate process required for good quality concrete
This new scheme applies to concrete for structures and precast components for buildings and civil engineering structures. It covers concrete mixed on site, ready-mixed or produced in a plant for precast concrete products. Specified requirements includesconstituent materials of concrete, properties of fresh and hardened concrete and their verification, limitations for concrete composition, delivery of fresh concrete, productioncontrol procedures, conformity criteria and evaluation of conformity.
Confident concrete use for various applications
We have acquired the certifications required for our 7 (seven) major plants which makes us the first concrete suppliers in Singapore to achieve the certifications for almost all ofour operating plants at one time. We assure our quality commitment in production and supply of concrete to fulfill your needs and requirements. Starting from October 1 thisyear, Qualified Persons (QPs) are advised to incorporate this requirement in their technical specifications for all future development projects as builders and QPs should ensure that concrete for building and civil engineering structures should be obtained from the SAC certified ready-mixed plants.
